Introduction
At the Freestyle Academy of Communication Arts & Technology, a specialized program at Mountain View High School, I studied Digital Media Arts and Animation. I’d like to highlight my most elaborate work here— an animated documentary.
This documentary highlights my dad’s spiritual journey and profound transformation in search of meaning in his life. I never expected my materialistic and logical dad to embrace faith. I was astounded by the positive changes in his demeanor and habits, and I felt his story offered unique insights worth sharing.
After conducting an interview, I carefully reviewed the transcript, cutting 50 minutes down to a concise 2-minute narrative. The animation process took over four months to complete, and I finished this work in April of 2023. I also composed the background music and created the ambient soundscapes that score the video.
